In my deck planters I am growing basil, dill, chives, parsley ,mint, lemon grass, tarragon, rosemary, thyme and sage. Twice the planter in the front of my house was attacked by a rabbit. The first time the rabbit ate the flowers but this last time the flowers were ripped out and not eaten?? Maybe I am wrongly accusing the rabbit this last time?

Baker Aunt I'm always trying to use up freezer and pantry items that have been hanging around too. Sometimes I feel like I'm a contestant on Chopped and I always come out the winner. Well I don't win any money of course.

I just made potato salad (using up 3/4 of the baked potato I didn't eat) to go with the grilled tuna steaks and corn which we will have for dinner. It's a good thing I used the plastic egg timer in the water because the egg would not have been hard boiled after the 3 minutes suggested online.

I received mine last week and put my request in in January. Call me crazy but I have been using the old blade anyway. I guess you call that "living on the edge". Ha ha.

I made" grilled pork tenderloin with molasses sauce". I actually baked the pork and accidentally substituted maple syrup for the molasses. I won't make that mistake again. It was definitely edible but did not have the pizzazz the molasses version had. And here I thought I was accidentally on to something.

                Hey!

Guess what I found in my saved recipes??? Yup Jozy's cc recipe! It is unconventional in that it calls for shortening and canola oil and cream of tartar which is probably why no one saved it. Anyway in looking online I did find some interesting cc recipes ie. calling for cornstarch and cake flour!?
So now I am a happy camper and if anyone wants the recipe let me know and thank you for chiming in.

Maybe I don't like change but I am going to miss Mary and the other 2 women. At least hunky Paul Hollywood will still be on the show.

Just read the article and it was inspiring how cooking gave life to these women.

I am cooking chicken breasts with asiago ,prosciutto and sage. I bought the prosciutto because I had a deli coupon and then had to find a recipe to use with it. Thank you internet!

That's funny that you mention brownies. I made some today also and decided to bake them in my toaster-convection breville oven. I didn't lower the 350 temp because I thought 300 was too low but then I didn't know how to adjust. Why can't we take the" thermatemp" of brownies like we do bread?

Thanks Bakeraunt but That is not the" Jozy" recipe I was looking for. However that recipe looks interesting.

I used to eat 1 8oz bar and it is 133 calories per oz. according to what I found on line.

I loved Halva and ate it frequently until I saw the calories in one bar!!!! So if you didn't acquire a taste for it good for you.

I have leftover pork tenderloin and ham and swiss cheese so....with the right rolls and mustard I will make Cuban sandwiches!
