Having been gone for ten days, most gardening is "in progress." I did plant three tomato plants in pots on the deck and they all have tomatoes. My tiny "kitchen garden" will be planted this week after it warms up from 34 degrees at night! The rhubarb is growing outrageously, and a crisp waits to be baked!
I have three pressure cookers, two 2 qt. and one 4 qt. I use the smaller ones almost weekly for vegetables and the larger one is used for meats, especially cooking chicken, beef for stew, etc.
Last year we were in Salt Lake City for my husband's eye surgery. My daughter and I stopped in at Einstein's Bagels for breakfast. When I ordered, I asked the clerk if the bagels were first boiled. He looked at me and asked if I were kidding, but since it was only his second day, he offered to ask the supervisor. The answer later was "yes." I have always been tempted to try bagels, but no such effort as of yet.
