      Pecan Pie Bars

      Yield: 36 bars
      Source: possibly Farm Journal Cookie Cookbook

      3 C (12.75 oz) AP flour
      1/4 C (1 7/8 oz) brown sugar
      1 C (8 oz) butter

      Filling:
      4 lagre eggs
      1C (11 oz) dark corn syrup
      1/2 C (3 3/4 oz) packed brown sugar
      1 C (3 3/4 oz) chopped pecans
      1/4 C (2 oz) melted butter
      2 tsp vanilla extract
      1/2 tsp salt

      Crust:
      Mix flour and brown sugar; cut in butter till crumbly.
      Pat into ungreased 10 x 15 pan.
      Bake at 350 for 15 minutes. Cool for 2 - 3 minutes.

      Filling:
      Beat eggs slightly; stir in remaining ingredients. Pour over partly baked crust, return to oven.
      Bake at 350 for an additional 25 minutes.

      Cool 10 to 15 minutes before cutting into squares or bars. Keep leftovers refrigerated.
