      INSTRUCTIONS
      Nougat Nut Cake

This is a nice, creamy cake, easy to prepare and good for a crowd.

      5 oz. Butter, soft
      1 cup sugar
      dash of salt
      5 eggs
1 cup Quark or very thick sour cream
      7 oz. Praline paste
      10 oz. Ground hazelnuts
      1 cup + 10 tbsp. Flour
      3 tsp. Baking powder

Grease and flour a 13x9 inch pan, heat oven to 350°.
Cream together butter, sugar and salt until fluffy, meanwhile melt praline paste. Add quark, ground nuts and melted praline paste, stir in. Mix flour and baking powder, sift and add, stir in only until smooth batter forms. Spread in pan, bake for about 45-50 minutes.
      Cool in pan on rack.

I frosted this with a packaged hazelnut glaze but I think a praline paste or milk chocolate buttercream would also be divine.
