      MOM'S BRANDY BALLS

      One year, my mom made these and loaded her pockets before we headed out to go caroling to shut-ins with our church. We ate the brandy balls all evening but the alcohol had not dissipated. Whew, we had fun!!

      2 7 1/4 oz pkgs of vanilla wafers, rolled into fine crumbs
      1/2 cup honey
      1/3 cup brandy
      1/3 cup light rum
      1 lb walnuts, ground finely
      granulated sugar

      Best aged one week for alcohol to mellow.

      Mix all ingredients, shape into bite size balls, and roll in granulated sugar.
      Can wrap individually in small pieces of plastic wrap.
      Makes about 5 doz.
