Fresh Apple Cake
1 Cup Sugar
1 Cup Brown Sugar
1 stick oleo
2 Eggs
2 tsp. Baking Soda
2 tsp. Cinnamon
1/4 tsp. Nutmeg
1 tsp. Vanilla
Dash Salt
2 Cups Flour
4 Cups Apples, Chopped
1 Cup Nuts
Combine the first 9 ingredients; beat until fluffy. Add flour and mix well. Add applea and nuts. Mix with hands and pour into a 9 x 13 greased pan. Bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees. While cake is baking, make the topping; timing so that the topping is done as soon as the cake comes out of the oven.

3 T. Flour
1 Cup Water
Dash Salt
1/4 Cup Oleo
1 tsp. Vanilla
In a saucepan, combine sugar, brown sugar, flour, water and salt. Cook until clear and thick. Add oleo and vanilla. Mix well until oleo is melted and pour over cake while hot.
