Basic Dough

6 to 6 1/2 cups flour
3 T sugar
2 Pkgs. Rapid Rise Yeast
2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 cups water
1/2 cup milk
2 T. butter
In large bowl, combine 2 1/2 cups flour, sugar, yeast and salt. Heat water, milk, and butter to 120-130 degrees. Gradually add to dry ingredients; beat 2 minutes at medium speed. Add 1/2 cup flour, beat 2 minutes at high speed.
Add additional flour to make soft dough. Place kneaded dough in greased bowl. Cover; let rise. Punch down and shape as desired.
BREAD MACHINE: place wet ingredients in machine and then add the dry ingredients, follow for dough cycle
