Chocolate Brownie Cake

INSTRUCTIONS
This recipe from my friend Mary Zimmerman was brought into the office everytime we had a celebration or lunch. It's to "die for" and went very quickly!
2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
3 sticks margarine
4 T. cocoa
1 cup water
1/2 cup buttermilk
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
Bring to a boil in a saucepan: margarine, cocoa and water. Pour over dry ingredients of flour, soda and salt. Beat well, add buttermilk, eggs and vanilla. Put in a prepared 12 x 18 x 1 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.
Frosting:
1 stick margarine
3 T. cocoa
6 T. buttermilk
1 cup walnuts, chopped coarsely
1 tsp. vanilla
1 lb. powdered sugar
Put all ingredients except powdered sugar in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Pour over the powdered sugar and beat well. Pour over cake.
