I read an article about the scones/pancakes served at Balmoral for tea:
Clearly it is an old recipe. The article says it was released on the celebration of Queen Elizabeth's 91st birthday. I printed a copy and may give it a try one of these days, probably as a half recipe. One thing not included is that it seems to me that the dough must be dropped into English muffin rings, at least if they are to have the height and perfect circle depicted in the photos.
You wouldn't serve a Queen a pancake that wasn't perfectly round, would you?
