      ALL PURPOSE POULTRY SEASONING
Submitted by grizzlybiscuit on December 03, 2004 at 10:15 pm

I just tried to think of all the spices I like sprinkled on chicken or any other kind of poultry and came up with my own balanced mix which I think is very versatile.

      2 TBSP Granulated Garlic
      1 TSP ground white pepper
      2 TBSP Rubbed Sage
      1 TBSP Poultry seasoning
      1 TBSP Basil
      2 TBSP Thyme Leaves
      3 TBSP paprika
      4 TBSP Kosher salt

Mix all together and put into one of those grated parmesan cheese shakers with the big holes. This spice mix is good for chicken, turkey, duck, cornish game hen, any and all types of breast meat
This mix is also good as an all-purpose vegetable seasoning, on roasted fruits, in stuffings, certain soups, sprinkled on breads, rolls and biscuits, sauces, gravies, and certain compound butters etc.

Feel free to adjust any or all of the ingredients to suit your own taste....the concept is what's important. Just think....every time you go to throw that chicken in the oven, instead of grabbing all those spices individually and then putting them all back, all you do now is just grab the one container ...no fuss....no mess! I think we all know what it's like struggling to find enough space in the kitchen. Anytime you can make your life easier in the kitchen, I say go for it!
