An environmentalist’s nightmare

I can’t stand the smell of discarded wrappers with chicken blood or meat blood thrown in the trash, especially in the summer. I could freeze until trash day I guess but instead I squish them up and place them in a ziplock sandwich bag which does the trick. I feel guilty though.

Baking soda in the bottom of the trash bag helps with smells.

I find the best way to deal with meat smells is to put the trash outside, this gives it a chance to decay more rapidly.
