I got a small(for a brick oven) portable oven made by Alfa Pizza called the 5 Minuti. It is still quit substantial, weighing in at around 200 lbs but it is on wheels so it can be moved around with some effort. It is big enough for my small family. We made 4 pizzas in no time over the weekend. It heats up to around 800 degrees F and has a cooking surface large enough to do a couple of small pizzas or a couple of loaves of bread. I'm looking forward to baking some bread in the future but have to spend some time learning how to properly build and stoke the fire for a longer cook time.
I have a lot to learn.

I am not allergic to garlic but I feel that most recipes over do the garlic. I automatically reduce it by 1/2 when I make it. I don't want to taste my meal all night long or have massive indigestion. I think most restaurants over use garlic. A hint is great but if garlic is all you can taste it takes away from the whole dining experience. It is one of my pet peeves. I am happy to hear that I am not alone in my garlic dislike.

It's a little early here to plant but I have tomato plants ready to go and my batch of seeds to plant. I have just completed a major garden re-do and I am looking forward to getting things started.
June first is my target date because of frost. I usually can pickles and make homemade tomato sauce that I freeze, plus jams using things from my garden and the local farmers market. I am so looking forward to warmer weather and getting things in the ground.

Hello and thank you for setting this up. I don't say much but I would read the KAF community pages everyday. I've learn lots from all of you and look forward to learning even more here on our new home.
