I’ve been having some issues getting to the website. For my last post, I tried to get here four times before I finally did. I would get those “oops, [SITE] cannot be found” messages.
Also happened twice recently when I tried to post an item, it went to that message. When I got back to the site, my message was gone, and I had to type it again. I have now taken to copying what I write so that if it happens, I don’t have to write it all over again. I’d had this happen occasionally for a while, but not usually so close together.
I don’t know if the issue is with my computer or with the site, so I’m reporting it to you in case others are having this issue.September 17, 2016 at 3:01 pm #4761
That has not happened to me but I do frequently get a ‘Site took too long to respond’ page. It often just keeps spinning awhile and finally comes up. A couple of times I had to click the Refresh button and it came up eventually. I figured it is my slow connection as I never have paid the bigger price to get a fast speed after the fiber optics installation hook-up in January.September 17, 2016 at 3:46 pm #4763

I’ve had it a couple of times as well. More often very slow loading, fewer times that the server won’t respond. I hope this helps you pinpoint itSeptember 19, 2016 at 11:51 am #4789
I tried shutting down most of my in-house network for about a half hour last night, response time seemed pretty good during that time and even afterwards, though I had problems accessing MNK remotely a few minutes ago.
I just did some software upgrades on the MNK server, not sure if they’ll make any difference.
I also had to delete some spam from Poland that got through this morning, and I kicked about a half dozen subscribers from Poland off the site.
I’m thinking I may need to upgrade my firewall server to put the latest network analyzer tools on it, but upgrading the firewall may itself change the nature of the problem (in either direction!) and is a task that will probably take 4-6 hours at a minimum.

Sigh. I just had a reply to the vanilla thread vanish. I didn’t copy that one. So, the problem is still there, and it took me three tries to get back into the site.
