While a print function would be nice, we can always copy and paste. But having hundreds of recipes in no order, alphabetical or categorical, is daunting. I know I’m asking a lot of someone who is donating time and labor for all us orphans, so I apologize for setting another fire before you’ve put out the others. Thanks,

We never had organization of members’ recipes at the KAF site. Without Sarah, we never would have found anything. I learned more about what is in that treasure trove when I desperately was copying and pasting in an effort to help save those recipes. I made a note about the occasional one, and I’ve already tried–and enjoyed!–a cookie recipe from Mumpy and a cookie recipe from Dachshundlady.
Mike does have to earn a living while doing this site on the side, so if there is some way that we can help, please, Mike, let us know. Maybe people could research recipe organization programs?June 10, 2016 at 6:10 pm #1227
Having nearly 400 recipes out there does kind of change things. The recent recipes list has to sort them by reverse timestamp, I don’t know if the topic list needs to, let me look at that over the weekend, this might be an easy one.June 10, 2016 at 6:48 pm #1238
There were about 4300 recipes on the old BC from members! I saved only a very small portion of them.
The Search function here lends a big hand in finding recipes just as we had to do on the BC.
Type in Brownies or Lemon and there are a lot of hits…several pages of Lemon.June 10, 2016 at 6:52 pm #1243
OK, I’ve added an entry under Search Forums for an Alpha Index of all Forums posts by title.
This gives us 3 ways to search: Reverse chronological order, alphabetical by title and the search function. That should be enough for you to be able to find stuff easier.
The search function will look for text as well as titles, so ‘apple’ will find recipes that use apples as well as posts that talk about apples, but it’ll also find ‘applesauce’ and ‘pineapple’.June 10, 2016 at 9:54 pm #1264
I have a lot of recipes that I saved from the most recent Baking Circle. I listed the names of the people whose recipes I saved on Zen’s site. I initially saved recipes when I saw the name of someone I knew, and I then saved some other people’s when Swirth sent out a call for volunteers to copy recipes. I hope to have time to start putting them here this summer. I may start with those I have actually baked.
